About the collection
A blazer abaya joins the lapel collar of a tailored jacket to the long drape of an abaya, so it works for the office, meetings and formal occasions. The Novella collection includes a black abaya with a blazer collar and a row of gold-toned buttons down the front and at the cuffs; a blazer-collar abaya with delicate lace across the waist and cuffs; a blazer-collar abaya with a leopard-print inner panel, a bow brooch and front pockets; and a two-tone abaya with sharp lapels, contrasting side panels, a single-button closure and pockets. Choose the gold buttons when you want a formal presence, the lace for a quiet evening, and the pockets for a long workday. A blazer collar depends on an exact shoulder, so if you send your shoulder and sleeve measurements on WhatsApp, the collar sits where it should and the sleeves end at the wrist. Every design comes in sizes XS to XL and lengths 50 to 60, sewn in our Doha atelier.

A blazer abaya takes the lapel collar of a tailored jacket and often adds buttons and pockets, so the top reads like a jacket and the rest drapes like an abaya. A traditional abaya has a simple or round neckline and relies on the drape alone.
Can I wear a blazer abaya to an occasion?
Yes, choose a stronger detail such as gold-toned buttons or lace at the cuffs. Pair it with a soft shayla and a small bag, and heels if you like, taking your length measurement while wearing them.
Why does made to measure matter for a blazer abaya?
The collar and shoulder define a blazer. If the shoulder is wider or narrower than yours, the lapels shift. Send your shoulder, sleeve and chest measurements on WhatsApp so the collar sits flat and the sleeves end at the wrist.
