Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027 by astronomical estimate, with the official date announced after the moon sighting, and Eid al-Fitr is expected around 9 or 10 March. The season brings many gatherings: the ghabga and family visits on Ramadan evenings, then Eid morning and family greetings. For Ramadan evenings, choose a comfortable abaya in a light fabric with a quiet detail, such as lace at the cuffs or scalloped edges. For Eid morning, choose a clearer detail: a raised floral pattern, polka dot panels, or a soft colour other than black, such as navy, ivory or light blue. If you want your abaya tailored to you before Ramadan or Eid, order early and confirm the timing on WhatsApp, since abaya and tailoring shops in Qatar get busy in the weeks before Eid. Every design comes in sizes XS to XL and lengths 50 to 60, or can be tailored to you in our Doha atelier. For choosing and styling tips, read our Ramadan and Eid abaya guide in the journal.
Order before Ramadan or in its first days, since tailoring gets busy in the final weeks before Eid. Send the design number, your measurements and the date you need it on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the timing before you order.
A comfortable abaya in a light fabric with a quiet detail, such as vertical stripes, lace at the cuffs or fabric-covered buttons, since a ghabga is a long evening gathering. Pair it with a soft shayla and comfortable shoes.
Both work. Black with gold-toned detail or a metallic pattern reads festive, while navy or ivory gives a lighter daytime look. Choose by setting: black for formal greetings, a soft colour for family visits.
