Tawqi'at were short, pointed lines that caliphs and scribes wrote at the foot of letters. This abaya signs in ivory: corded embroidery traces curves across the pointed collar tips and repeats on the deep cuffs. Everything else is clean black in a shirt cut, with a concealed front, two flap pockets at the chest and long seams down to a wide hem. A piece for work and daytime that carries on into the evening.
