About Watar
A watar is the taut string of an oud that carries the note. On this abaya fine pleats repeat like parallel strings: in a high collar that fans out around the neck, in wide cuffs, and in a long panel down one side of the skirt. The bodice wraps and is defined at the waist by a clear seam, then the cut flares to the floor. For evenings and large occasions, with little jewellery.
