Nuqta: Black abaya with polka dot panels and a row of buttons

About Nuqta

In Arabic calligraphy the dot is the unit of measure: every letter is sized by it. On either side of this abaya's front run two wavy ivory panels scattered with black dots, starting at the shoulders and narrowing below the hip. Between them, a long row of round fabric-covered buttons under a small stand collar. The dots return at the cuffs, and the cut widens to the hem. For daytime, gatherings and Eid. Made to measure in Doha, in lengths from 50 to 60.
